New Camera!!!!

The other day I bought a camera off Dereck. He sold it for a really good price. It's a Digital Canon SLR camera. The amount of lenses I can get for this camera is great. Anyhow, I was in my Korean hometown Ansan and I took some first shots with the camera.

Here's the first shot. It was quite a surprise. I ran into Juliet at the subway station. I was waiting for Thomas and I was surprised to see her. I'm glad I ran into her because her birthday was just last week so it was nice to say Happy Birthday in person. Plus, she always has a great smile and is very photogenic.

Next is the man himself, Dereck. He helped me out in Seoul today to buy some lenses. He's quite an experienced photographer and a good friend.

Here's my Korean teacher in Sukmyeong University. She is very cute and funny. Too bad she's married. :^(

Here's my buddy at the Cosa Market. This guy is a really nice friend. He doesn't speak English but that never stopped him from talking a lot to us.
And of course, no album would be complete without a picture of Mel Gibson. Haha!

Baseball Action!

I've put up numerous soccer pictures but now that I'm in Suwon I should support the local baseball team. The team's name is the Hyundai Unicorns. So, I went with Thomas to check out one of the games. It was pretty fun with all the distractions with the cheerleaders and what not.
And here's the pitch!

The seventh inning strech!

As usual, there were Koreans drumming. This is Goro's cousin.

This is the male cheerleader. Amazingly enough he didn't quite annoy me as most other male cheerleaders.

This cheerleader was cheering for me! Haha!

The unicorn wasn't the happiest today. The unicorns lost :(
Bonus: The kid with the jacket looks horrified at the unicorn!

Some more soccer action!

Now for the sports! Last Saturday there was a soccer game between Iran and South Korea. Thomas and me we're talking about going to the game after class. Two more from the class joined us, Joey from Florida, and a girl from Taiwan.
Here's a shot of the way up to the stadium. It was crowded!
The group shot, Joey, the girl from Taiwan, me, and Thomas!

Here's my shot of my seat. Talk about boggle boggle.

More of the fans. The flags were immense!

The games finale was 1-1. Iran scored in the last seconded of the game. It was a big let down!

Japan visa trip!

So since I am switching jobs, I had to go to Japan for a visa run. You actually have to leave the country in order to acquire your visa to work in Korea. So, here I am in lovely Osaka.
Osaka is a port city so there's a lot of rivers that run through it.
Here's something you cannot find in Korea. An actual McDonald's breakfast. The $6 I paid for it was all worth it.

Here's the Sky Building. It was quite a site. It was beautiful. The only problem was getting to it was about a half hour walk.

The view from the top of the Sky Building!

And now a walk to Osaka castle. Here's the moat!

And here's the Castle. It almost looks like a big mansion!

Here's a view of the tiger fish on top of the castle. They are the guardians of the castle.

And here's the funniest thing about the trip. I actually ran into Nathan down in the immigration office! So we were kicking it on the last day.

Last Day at Little America!

Well, I apologize to everyone for not updating in a great long while. I have been moving to Suwon and I didn't have internet access. I'll be updating my pictures to Japan soon. In the meanwhile, I have gotten a new university job in Suwon so I'm leaving Little America. Here are some pictures of the last day.

Here's me with the babies. These are all 1st graders. They will be so embarrassed about how they look in the future. Haha!

More youngins. These kids especially the girls would drive me crazy!!!!
This class was another riot. Merry, Mini, and James would always make me laugh.
Everyone say, "Kimchi!" Alex, Jenny, Christina, and David. David is the one who is not facing the camera. He would always get into trouble!!!
Here they are again. Supposedly studying.

This is the first beginner class I've had at Little America. It was with Cindy, Sara, and Bryan. It grew to some more new students. I only had the guys on the right 2 times. Also, the boy right next to me was the biggest class clown. I don't know how much English he actually learned.
Another class of the biggest goofballs you have ever seen. It was a riot trying to control them. They would get into trouble quite a bit. Sometimes, I was the trouble at times! Haha!

Here's Tina and Matthew. They're two of the brightest in Little America.
