Eating Duk Galbi with the Korean Teachers!

The Korean teachers asked me if I can give them a Korean class. I agreed to since the Korean class was free. Anyhow, it went all good then we went out to eat some chicken called Duk Galbi. I've eaten it many times. It's really tasty except it's spicy so I sweat like crazy. Hehe!

Here are two of the Korean teachers, Ra Young Choi and I forgot her name.

Here's me and the other teacher, Kwon In Oh. It's the 2nd picture we took. He can't take a picture with his eyes open. Hehe.

More Birthday Parties!

I was very surprised on Saturday when I went to my Korean lesson with Rachel. Her friend and her wanted to give me a birthday party. We ate some Italian for lunch and we went shopping afterwards. After shopping we ate at Bennigans and then we went to a Noreabang!

Argentine wine that we drank at Bennigans.

Birthday Parties!

As we should all know, March 14th is my birthday (Haha!). Gordo turns 26. I wanted to thank everyone who has sent me cards or had well wishes for me. A big fat thanks from the gord man. Here are some of the pics from my birthday parties!
Here is my cake from the Korean classes at the church. See it pays to stay in school!

It was all good, then it turned chaotic with the girls wanting to put the frosting on my face.

Here's a pic of Denise (Left). He's from Nepal. There's the other two Korean teachers (Center and Right).

Here's the big group shot. There's William, the other Korean teacher, CC, and Denise.
We had another cake and party at Little America!
Here's me cutting the cake!
Afterwards, Steven, Thomas, and me went for some drinks...

...And some pool action!

Tacos al carbon!

Thomas and me went to a Mexican restaurant the other day. I ate some tacos and he ate a burrito. They were good but a bit over priced.
Mis dos Tacos.

Y nunca se olvida el flan.

Olympic Park!

Wednesday was a holiday. It was Korean Independence Day from the Japanese. So, we had a day off. In sprit of the Olympics, we decided to visit Olympic Park in Seoul. It was the site of the 1988 Olympics. It was a very nice park.

Here's a shot of Thomas and me in front of the front gate.

A solo shot of the front gate.

The Peace Flame. It was dedicated for world peace.

A statue and the flags of many nations in the back. I found the Costa Rican, Argentine, and the United States flag.

Abstract Art of Olympic Park!

For some odd reason, the Olympic Park has a really big abstract art section. Most of the pieces come from artists from varying countries. Yet, most of the art is quite difficult to comprehend. Here are some of the select few shots that I hope you enjoy.
Here's my in my old High School football uniform. This is one of the first pieces I saw. It doesn't make any sense to me because American football is not an Olympic sport and a French person did the piece. Go figure.
Now, this piece I like to call the, "Talking Heads." The reflection of everything was bouncing off them. Too bad there wasn't any water in the pool. I'd like to get that effect.

Now, this is one of the the talking heads looking back at me. Kinda trippy, no??!?!

Here's Thomas taking a trip through the portal into Dimension X. I'm writing the blog now but I forgot the real meaning of this piece. Oops!

Here's a piece I'd call something like, "Two blind men," or better yet, "Can you hear me now?"

Why is this thumb point up? Why is it here? Is it part of giant? Who knows?

I saved the best for last. Now, you can think about this piece two different ways. Are the wheels coming up or are they going down? There will be many different ways to interpret your answers.

The Hidden Gym in Olympic Park!

Walking through Olympic Park, Thomas and me took a route off the beaten path. It was a bunch of rocks that lead upward. We did not know where we were going or were will be but we decided to take a chance and we discovered...The Hidden Gym in Olympic Park.
The Hidden Gym in Olympic park was a section of the park that had a bunch of gym equipment on a small hill. It was really quite awkward for that to be here. Also, there was a bunch of old people lifting weights there. So, I think they believe that the fresh air helps them get stronger.
Here's Thomas lifting 50 kgs.

Here's me lifting 50 kgs also. I look like Shinobi!
